đź’Ľ ACTING LIKE A PRO

JCS Future Builders Standard of Professionalism

“Professionalism is not about perfection. It’s about how you carry yourself when no one’s watching.”

âś… What Professionalism Looks Like:

  • Showing up on time, ready to work
  • Speaking with respect to coaches, teammates, refs, and staff
  • Owning mistakes and learning from them
  • Dressing and acting in a way that represents your team and future
  • Following through on your word, whether it’s schoolwork, practice, or community work

🤝 Why It Matters:

  • People trust you faster when you act with discipline and maturity
  • You get more opportunities (internships, scholarships, leadership roles)
  • It builds a culture of greatness around you
  • You become a role model — for your team, your school, and your city

🔑 How to Practice It Daily:

  • 🎯 Be where you said you’d be, on time
  • 📢 Use words that build people up, not tear them down
  • 🎒 Keep your gear clean and ready
  • đź“‹ Handle your business without being told twice
  • 🧠 Think ahead — what needs to be done before the next practice, game, or meeting?

đź’ˇ Real Talk:

Professionalism isn’t about wearing dress shoes.
It’s about how you handle your attitude, your time, and your responsibilities.

Anyone can act professional — you just need to decide that your name means something.
